Laura decided it was time to take control of her life and seek a workout that would fit into her busy schedule. Physique 57 was her solution! Shortly after starting the technique, Laura lost 10 pounds and started feeling confident again in her body.
I discovered Physique 57 4 years ago through a co-worker. We were working together in Rockefeller Center and would take classes together during lunch. When I got a new job in 2010, I was working 12 – 14 hour days and I was too tired to work out. By the Fall, I noticed my pants weren’t fitting me anymore and I was feeling lethargic. I wasn’t fat by any means but I wasn’t feeling good about myself. I decided to take matters into my own hands. In November of 2010, I started taking Formual 57 classes every Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 6:30 AM. It was rough and I used to think I was crazy. I ate oatmeal for breakfast in exchange for croissants, salad and soup for lunch instead of going out to lunch, and dinner was fish or chicken with vegetables. I also cut down my alocohol consumption. I found that while I was stressed, I was using alcohol to make me feel better and to help me sleep. I’m not going to lie, this was really hard for the first 2 months.
I didn’t actually start seeing results until February of 2011 (4 months). I think my body was just holding onto those 10 lbs for some reason. I’ve been keeping up with my twice a week Formula classes and I’ve kept the weight off and then some for 1 year. It wasn’t really about the weight but more about getting stronger and toning up. I’m more confident now than when I was 21 years old. I have never allowed people to take pictures of me in a bikini but now I don’t care, snap away! What pushes me to keep up with the workouts is simply how I feel. I’ve never felt better and I’ve never been more confident in my life. I love the teachers and the class itself is really fun.
