Maybe it’s just me, but I always feel like I get a better workout when I’m put together even just a little. I like wearing small earrings, cute workout clothes and an actual hairstyle rather than just a plain old bun or pony tail. I’m so excited to be here sharing three simple hairstyles that you can wear while you workout. Each look is great both inside and outside of the studio, and they only take a few minutes to complete! Our first tutorial in the series is a great little braided style that I did with Holly, who you might recognize as one of Physique 57’s NY instructors.
To prep: You’ll need a few bobby pins, two pony tail holders (I like the clear ones from Goody) and tangle free hair.
Step 1-2: Part your hair straight down the middle to the nape so that you have two equal sections.
Step 3: Braid the first section of your hair and secure with an elastic at the end. I like a tight braid when I’m working out, but this style looks great a little messy and loose too!
Step 4: Repeat step 3 on the other side.
Step 5: One at a time cross your braid at the nape to the other side and pin in place, making sure the ends of the braids are tucked in so they don’t show.
Step 6: Repeat Step 5 on the other side.
Step 7-8: Now you have a gorgeous braided look for you to hit the barre in style.
Feel the burn and look good doing it during your Physique 57 class, instead of worrying about having hair in your face!
